HELLO! I'M CHELSEA WATSON
I’m a UX designer, strategic marketing instructor, world traveller and obsessive cat mom.
I have six years of digital agency experience, designing products and strategies for brands such as Blue Shield, AT&T, Visa and Nissan. I'm currently leading projects as a Senior User Experience Designer on the Customer Experience team at Evans Hunt in Calgary, Canada.

I'm fortunate to currently be working with the Customer Experience team at this award-winning digital agency. My current position has allowed me to grow my leadership skills, flex my strategic and creative muscles, and work with a diverse group of clients. So far key projects have included leading UX and content strategy for the DIRTT responsive site redesign, and being integrated into the Alberta Treasury Branch innovation design team to help bring their new digital challenger bank product to life.

In this part-time teaching position, I combine marketing theory with real-world application of concepts to develop course materials, assignments, presentations and lectures for the Marketing & Strategic Communications Certificate program.

My time on the User Experience team at Critical Mass saw me leading UX design on numerous web and app projects for global Fortune 500 companies while providing career management, training and performance reviews for junior and intermediate team members. Key projects included leading a four person UX team to redesign the Blue Shield of California member experience, developing detailed workflows and prototypes for numerous experiences within the AT&T mobile and desktop buyflows, and playing a key role in the award-winning redesign of Visa's intranet app and site.

During my stint in SEO I found my niche by advocating for content driven search engine optimization strategy by refining clients' digital properties to increase value, traffic and conversions while maximizing technical health to enhance user experience and search engine visibility. Key projects included analyzing internal and external search behaviour to develop the content strategy for Nissan's Competitive Advantage, and determining the Citi ThankYou rewards SEO strategy based on an extensive content and technical audit.
